This is not what was meant by: "open the Golan front"

"Israel resumed its export of Golan Heights-grown apples to Syria on Tuesday, after it last year halted the annual project due to a shortage in produce."

These were apples grown by the Syrian citizens who stayed on in Golan under occupation (unlike the many who left.) Selling their produce to Syria helps them to stay on their land. No good options for these steadfast people, whose struggle to resist imposition of "Israeli" citizenship has been long and hard. But staying on their land, as Syrian citizens, is really important. Everyone should learn a lot more about their woefully under-reported situation. (Here's some reporting I did on it ten years ago: http://justworldnews.org/archives/golan.html#Pt2 .)
