Where's all the rice gone?

"Oman, an oil-rich middle-east nation of 3.3 million people is stockpiling rice. The Gulf Daily News recently reported that Oman was securing 200,000 tons of rice, enough to feed the population for two years."

I have Mormon relatives. I forwarded to my Mother in Utah, the article about wheat rust. She forwarded it to family and friends. Last I heard they were buying wheat and rice like crazy. Costco, a big, nationwide, membership based grocery has been rationing rice.
At least I'll be able to get a meal once in awhile...if I move to Utah.
