Grape fuel
Table grapes producers in the Bekaa are uprooting their vines and burning them for fuel: It is not worth harvesting, they say. Someone should explain to me why I pay $2 for a kilo of grapes at the supermarket when the small farmers sell it for 15 cents. Maybe the fact that there are few buyers and lots of vendors in a totally unregulated market has something to do with it?

As long as it does not turn into the grapes of wrath, nobody will care.
