In the Chouf region of Lebanon, where they grow a lot of pine trees for pine nuts production, they also eat the green, unripe pine cones. They call them "the cherries of the cucumber" because they look like cherry (?) and taste like cucumber (??). (

how? do they cook them in any way? add lemon? or eat them raw???
they eat them raw, with a squeeze of lemon (optional)
