McDonald's Corp., the world's largest restaurant company, said second-quarter profit exceeded analysts' estimates, excluding the sale of Latin American stores that resulted in its first loss in more than four years.
Sales in the region encompassing Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East and Africa climbed 10.9 percent, helped by Japan, Australia and China.
