We live in a postcard in Northern California. But only the very rich or the lucky get the good views day-to-day. The rest of us live in regular neighborhoods with cats and garbage cans; the post card views hit us when we're driving down the street, or stopping in a park, or emerging in the parking garage on the way to the dentist and the magnificent bay, hills, mountains rise up to greet us.
Last night it rained for a few minutes in one patch of the East bay while the sun shone on the western part of the bay. A double rainbow stretched over the East Bay hills for a few minutes. We saw it in person; then about three of our friends put cameraphone pictures on Facebook.
And what about you living in Lebanon? You live a postcard too.
