Midnight peak oil

"For 25 years Peter Garrett was the frontman of Midnight Oil, an Australian rock band known for its raucously loud music and protest songs about social and environmental issues. Then the bald 6ft 6in singer hung up his microphone, disbanded the group and exchanged his rock star clothes for the sombre suits of a politician." (Thanks D.)

I used to like that band.

I am not sure why this is a bad thing. He ain't rocking anymore at the age of 50, but he has the enthusiasm to make some changes. In fact, his (environmental) comments have always sparked controversy in Australia.

I didn't mean it in a bad way. I have (kind of) an aversion for sir boomtown rats and bono, but peter garret was actually ok before he went into politics. Controversy: rania sent me this link in which he is accused of committing gaffes. That too may be to his credit. http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22870649-421,00.html?from=mostpop
