Christmas oysters

Another ludicrous idea for Lebanese agriculture: the cultivation of oyster mushrooms as a replacement crop for "traditional" crops. Unbelievable. No one, but no one, in Lebanon eats oyster mushrooms. What are they trying to do? Grow oyster mushrooms as an export commodity? They've been trying to promote this project since 2000, and they made their first local sales in November 2007. Great success.
